Take a ride on Kimberley's Underground Mining Railway as it winds through the Mark Creek Valley. The railway links the downtown with the site of the old Sullivan Mine surface facilities & recent mine reclamation activities. It continues its route through a 750 m (2,475 ft) tunnel to the Underground Interpretive Centre, where the history of the Sullivan Mine & mining are preserved & visitors will experience what it was like working underground. On the return trip, we stop for a guided tour of the Sullivan Mine Powerhouse to learn more history & to see the huge compressors & generators that powered the mine.
