A rare attraction nestled at the confluence of the Kootenay & Columbia rivers, this museum on traditional orchard land will introduce you to the unique skills, beliefs, culture & lifestyle of the Doukhobors as it was lived 1908-1938. The museum is a complete communal village with heritage plants & flowers & features videos, thousands of artifacts, the communal house with petch, the banya [sauna], linen textiles & other crafts. The Village Gallery features art displays & Doukhobor Arts & Crafts for sale, CD's, books, videos & cards. The Village Bistro Restaurant features vegetarian Doukhobor food, as well as a Canadian menu.
