On Solid Ground is an exhibition that looks at the history of rock climbing in the Okanagan and the geological formations that make the region a climbing hot spot.
This exhibition features local climbing pioneers who mapped many of the climbing routes and interactive components that explore "trad" climbing, sport climbing, and bouldering. There will be a map of climbing places to visit in the Okanagan, as well as an interactive message board for contributing climbing stories and tips.
Mark your calendars for August 25th, when internationally renowned climber Sonnie Trotter will give a presentation at the Okanagan Heritage Museum.

Welcome to the fresh taste of the Comox Valley, over 80 farmers, fishers & bakers bring their locally produced products to market. Friends & families come together to relax & enjoy local entertainment, coffee, snacks & good conversation. From Jan to mid April the Farmers Market is held indoors at the Native Sons Hall in Downtown Courtenay. From mid April to Thanksgiving, the market moves outside to the Exhibition Fairgrounds. Then until Christmas the market moves back indoors.
