This completely restored Hudson’s Bay Company post is the largest complex of original wooden buildings depicting the fur trade in Canada & portrays the relationship between the fur traders & the Carrier First Nations. Enjoy costumed interpreters as well as a café, museum & theatre.
George Little House, built in 1914, is home to community & culture. It is home to Via Rail Station & the Wilp Simgan Carving Studio. The house showcases & retails local art, maps, hosts traditional teas & Sunday Flea Markets.
Heritage Park Museum is situated on 1.73 acres (0.72 ha) of parkland owned by the City of Terrace. Experience the history & culture of the early part of the 20th century in a scenic parkland setting in the heart of Terrace, British Columbia. Tour authentic heritage buildings such as the Kalum Lake Hotel (1920), Dix's Dance Hall (1925) or the Mining Cabin (1910) & enjoy our Organic Heritage Garden. The Huble Homestead is a heritage site located at the base of the historic Giscome Portage. Originally a farm & fur trading post, the homestead has been restored to its 1915 condition & is open to the public from May to Oct for guided tours, lunch & shopping in the General Store. Special events are held on weekends throughout the summer & feature blacksmithing & pioneer demonstrations, games & contests for the whole family & live entertainment. Huble Homestead is located 40 km north of Prince George, just off Hwy 97 on Mitchell Rd. Admission is by donation.
