The Osoyoos Desert Centre is a nature interpretive centre where visitors can learn about desert ecology, habitat restoration, and conservation of endangered ecosystems in the South Okanagan. The Centre offers visitors an opportunity to explore Canada's desert by taking a guided or self-guided tour along a 1.5 km wooden boardwalk. Visitors can also enjoy hands-on activities and exhibits in the interpretive centre, or take a stroll through the native plant demonstration garden. The Osoyoos Desert Centre, located 3 km north of Osoyoos off Hwy 97, is open annually from late April through early October.

Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre is a family oriented cultural attraction operated by the Osoyoos Indian Band. The award-winning rammed-earth interpretive centre is an architectural marvel, built into the hillside using sustainable building techniques. Here you can explore the culture of the Okanagan First Nations & learn about the unique plants & animals of the Osoyoos desert. The 22 ha site features cultural exhibits, walking trails, outdoor sculptures & hands-on displays. Highlights include a reconstructed aboriginal village with daily guided walks & rattlesnake demonstrations in the summer.
