Located only 15 minutes west of Revelstoke, the Heritage Ghost Town has more than 25 rescued & restored historic buildings, gathered from around British Columbia. The attraction is assembled near the site of the original town of Three Valley, which swelled & subsided in the 1880's. Highlights of the visit will include an Antique Car Museum – dating back from 1902; a Mining Exhibit; and a Railway Roundhouse – featuring more than 12 pieces of rolling stock. The Heritage Town is located next to Three Valley Lake Chateau Ltd., an extraordinary resort destination on the Trans Canada Hwy.

The BC Forest Discovery Centre is a 40 ha (100 ac) open air museum. With 2.5 km of narrow gauge rail line visitors explore the site on one of the Centre's gas or steam locomotives. Large logging equipment, vintage industrial vehicles & historical buildings make up only a portion of the Centre's unique collection of forestry-related artifacts. A mature second growth forest, trails through Somenos Wetlands & a picnic site on Somenos Lake make this a must see attraction for Southern Vancouver Island. Easy to find, located just north of Duncan on the Trans Canada Hwy.

Visit this BC Hydro facility & learn more about the Revelstoke Dam. The complex is comprised of a 175 m (575 ft) high concrete gravity dam, a 122 m (400 ft) high earthfill dam on the west bank of the river & the powerhouse. Self-guided tours feature the power generation story & an elevator ride to the dam crest. New interactive exhibits in the Visitor Centre show how the project was built & illustrates various aspects of power production. A gift shop, theatre & visitor services are also on-site.
