These popular & stylish gourmet gala dinners have been presented for many years in the Museum’s sumptuous award-winning (2007 Heritage Canada's Restoration Achievement) Royal Alexandra Hall. A pre-dinner Champagne Reception; followed by 9 courses, selected wines & professional entertainment between courses. A gala brunch on Sunday is a further option. The "CPR House B&B" in the heritage area of Baker Hill & the Prestige Hotel adjacent to the Museum, offer special accommodation packages. The Symphony of the Kootenays also has performances. Fernie Alpine Resort says “Thank You” to local communities by offering a FREE day of skiing and riding to the residents of Fernie, Elko, Elkford, Jaffray, Sparwood and all residents living in the Elk Valley, as part of the annual Community Appreciation Day. Community members can also pick up a $2 BBQ voucher with proceeds from the BBQ going to charity. After, from 12pm-2pm, come down to the base area and get your picture taken with Santa. Don't worry about bringing a camera, Santa's helpers will take the photo and email it to you. Photos are FREE!
