The Sparwood area offers world-class fishing at nearby Elk River as well as fine wildlife viewing.

The Sparwood Heritage Murals were painted to honour the town’s distinct notable historic events as well as the lives of every day citizens. Follow the self-guided tour to see the town’s colourful mining history depicted on prominent buildings in the downtown core. The tour will also lead you to the Terex Titan, the world’s largest tandem-axle dump truck, which was once used for mining coal.
