Red Mountain Resort is tucked away in the Kootenay Rockies region of southeastern BC. A big mountain with a small-town feel, Red is just a 5-minute drive from Rossland, a town with friendly locals, quaint shops and a mining history. 

In winter, the resort is a powder paradise and renowned for its downhill skiing and snowboarding. During the summer months, the mountains around Rossland are ideal locations for endless alpine adventures, such as hiking or mountain biking. Rossland, with its famous Seven Summits Trail, is often referred to as "Canada's Mountain Biking Capital".

Getting to the Resort

Red Mountain Resort is situated in southeastern British Columbia, 3 hours north of Spokane, Washington; 3.5 hours east of Kelowna and 1.5 hours southwest of Nelson (by car).

The nearest international airports are the Canadian Rockies International Airport (near Cranbrook; 3 hours and 15 minutes from the resort by car), the Spokane International Airport (in Washington; 3 hours from the resort by car), and the Kelowna International Airport (3.5 hours from the resort by car). There are also direct flights from Vancouver International Airport and Calgary International Airport into the nearby communities of Trail and Castlegar.

Winter shuttle service to the resort is available from the Spokane International Airport and Kelowna International Airport, as well as some regional airports.

In winter, a public bus runs to Red Mountain from nearby communities on weekends and some weekdays; phone the Kootenay Boundary Transit System for information.

Car rentals are available from the Canadian Rockies International AirportKelowna International Airport and Spokane International Airport, and the communities of Castlegar and Nelson

Accommodations of all types for all budgets are available at the resort or in nearby Rossland (3 km/2 mi from the resort). There are numerous ski-in/ski-out or on mountain options.
