Denman Island

Denman Island (population: 1,095) and Hornby Island (population: 1,074) lie just off the east coast of Vancouver Island. Both have large arts communities, scenic parks and beaches, and exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities. Located on Denman, Fillongley Provincial Park offers beach-side camping, and a network of hiking trails. The island also has a thriving arts community, which can be experienced at the summer art gallery, or at year-round musical and theatrical productions.

Denman Island is a 10min ferry ride from Buckley Bay, which is just south of Courtenay on Vancouver Island. From there, it is a 10min drive to the ferry crossing for Hornby Island. The Denman-to-Hornby crossing also lasts 10min. Both islands can also be accessed via floatplane or private boat.
