Bella Coola (population: approximately 1800 for the Bella Coola Valley) is located in BC's Central Coast area, where the Bella Coola River meets the Pacific Ocean.

Mountains, rivers and forests lie within a short distance of the village, which visitors tend to use as a base for wilderness adventures in Tweedsmuir Provincial Park, Princess Royal Island and fish-filled waterways that fan out in all directions. Hiking, climbing, heli-sports, fishing and rafting are all popular local pursuits.

This remote community can be accessed by air; via Highway 20 from the east; or via BC Ferries' scenic Discovery Coast Passage route, which leaves from Port Hardy on Vancouver Island.
