With fall upon us, I thought you might like to read an article on the top 10 things to do in White Rock on a rainy day, written by British Columbia Magazine editor Anita Willis.
My favourite is #10 - Pudgy Fudgy at Notti Biscotti Bakery, but maybe you should read it for yourself and pick your own favourite - there might not be enough biscotti for me to share!

Re: LaVillettina Bed & Breakfast, White Rock, BC
July, 2007 - I recently had the pleasure of discovering LaVillettina through Tourism BC. I linked to LaVillettina's website and knew I had found the perfect home away from home for my two week visit to BC.
The thought of staying at motel/hotel (security issues?) by myself did not appeal. My accommodation at LaVillettina included a very clean and pristine combination kitchen/sitting room, separate bedroom, bathroom and private outside access. All of the amenities, as stated on their website, were in place and functional and I was not disappointed.
Needless to say, I would highly recommend LaVillettina to those who require clean and modern accommodation, and easy access to shopping, the beach, restaurants and entertainment. Lastly, the owners were very professional and friendly. All of this contributed to my successful visit to B.C.

With all the rain, wind and snow that we have had in the south coast of British Columbia this year it is wonderful to see the flowers all busrting into bloom by the beginning of March. Even though sometimes we have a lot of rain in the winter, our winters are short, and spring arrives early to treat us to a wonderful display of colours and scents.
The flowers in White Rock and South Surrey were starting to bloom by the end of February this year, and were in full bloom by the middle of March....bet the rest of Canada can't say the same.

Living in the White Rock area does not make me appreciate it any less. After 20 years living there it still amazes me with the beautiful scenery, parks, beaches and sunsets that are an every day experience.
My husband and I walked to the beach to enjoy some of the world famous fish and chips served right across from the beach. After dinner we walked along the promanade feeding the gulls and enjoying the view. We were fortunate enough to also capture this beautiful sunset...or at least the start of a very impressive sunset.
If you ever have the opportuntity to be in the area, make sure to seek out one of the fish and chip shops and enjoy eating at the beach and enjoying the view.
