Parksville Dining

Don't be misled by the string of fast-food joints that line Highway 19A (the Oceanside Route) on the eastern outskirts of Parksville. The region is packed with a truly diverse range of all-budget independent dining establishments – some secreted away in oceanside resorts and on backcountry roads, others clustered in the heart of town.

Coffee Shops

Independent coffee shops in Parksville include the Pacific Brimm, and the funky Cha C'ha Java (which has its own in-house coffee roaster). Free internet access available at both.

Casual Fare

For casual or picnic fare, check out Rod & Gun, an 1898 pub with adjoining patio on a quiet stretch of the Alberni Highway (aka Highway #4A) in the town centre, Bugsy's Bar & Grill (322 West Island Highway), or Stewart's on Harrison Ave.

Resort Restaurants

Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort boasts two first-rate dining spots: the Cedar Dining Room, and for spa guests, the Treetop Tapas & Grill. The Landing West Coast Grill in Nanoose Bay's Pacific Shores Resort is renowned for its seafood dishes and huge freshwater fish tank. The Pacific Prime Steak & Chop Restaurant & Lounge is a modern surf-and-turf hotspot in the downtown Beach Club Resort. Heron's Dining Room is located in the Quality Resort Bayside. Bonus: All three restaurants offer splendid ocean and beach views from many tables.
