Nakusp Dining

Nakusp has a good selection of restaurants, some of which are found at local hotels. For a unique dining experience, check out the town's Tolkien inspired café. Local haunts include pizza houses and coffee shops.

Hotel Restaurants

Kuskanax Lodge's upscale dining room places strong emphasis on meals with a home-cooked feel and locally sourced seasonal ingredients (whenever possible). The hotel is located at the corner of 6th and Broadway is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. On a sunny day, the Leland Hotel's tree-shaded patio is a great place to enjoy lunch. The expansive view of Arrow Lake is complimentary. The Leland is on 4th Avenue, just a block from Broadway. At Halcyon Hot Springs Village and Spa, about half an hour north of town, Kingfisher Restaurant is serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week.

Middle Earth Café

Stepping inside the Middle Earth Café is crossing a threshold into the fantasy world of Tolkien. The café, two years in the making, supplements its unique atmosphere with substantial portions of good food. The Middle Earth Café is located on 6th Avenue West, just across the street from the Selkirk Inn

Local Haunts

At 312 Broadway, Woodfire Pizza ‘n More serves original oven-baked pizzas. English fish and chips is the order of the day at Chumley's 401 Broadway. What's Brewing on Broadway at 420 Broadway features good coffee, light lunches, and local chats. End a day at the beach with made-to-order chicken souvlaki at the Kosmos Souvlaki Kiosk.

Foodie Trek

Foodies can head to Fauquier, about 60km/40mi southwest of Nakusp. This place abounds with wild mushrooms, and the Mushroom Addition Restaurant is not shy about serving them.
