The Creston Valley has a long tradition of growing food, which translates into good eating in this small Kootenay Rockies town. In Creston there are more than a dozen eateries, most offering casual fare. Aldo & Co Aldo & Co is a fine Italian restaurant found in a new building at 1821 Canyon Street – just east of the downtown core. The Aldo & Co is open Tuesday through Friday for lunch and dinner, and for dinner on Saturday is dinner only. Break in Time Caffe Break in Time Caffe is a cozy bistro downtown near the corner of Canyon and 15th Streets. In addition to regular restaurant tables, there are a few comfy chairs for sitting with a cup of coffee, and counters next to the window for people watching. Open Tuesday through Saturday for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Skimmerhorn Winery and Vineyard Skimmerhorn Winery and Vineyard, situated in an area of rolling hills, is Creston's first winery. The Bistro at the Vineyards is a romantic spot for lunch, a glass of wine, and a delicious dessert. Open Wednesday through Sunday from the beginning of May through to October. The Blueberry Patch The Blueberry Patch farm and restaurant serves up a menu of lunches, home-baked goodies, and lots of fresh fruit. Check out the Strawberry Pavilion – a barn-sized greenhouse filled with hydroponically grown strawberries. Open Tuesday through Saturday at 2782 20th Street in the rural area of Creston.
