It's several cuts above most takeaway booths of its kind thanks to a first-rate (and filling) menu of wraps, seafood and big-scoop ice cream.
The popular Lookout West Coast Grill (921 Island Highway) draws the crowds thanks to its oceanside locale and a fun menu highlighted by prawns, scallops and mussels sold by the pound.
Sunday Farmer's MarketThe Pier Street district on the downtown waterfront is notable for its shops, heritage buildings, and a busy farmer's market held from April to October. The latter was rated one of the country's ten best such markets by Canadian Geographic magazine in 2009. Pick up fresh catches from Crabby Bob's Seafood, fruit and veggies from Devonshire Farm, baked delights from Heavenly Goodies, and gourmet cheese from Natural Pastures.
