White Rock Accommodations

Because of its close proximity to Vancouver, and the range of accommodation available in neighbouring Surrey, White Rock only has a few places to stay. Think of quality not quantity; its one hotel sits right across from the beach and B&Bs exude sophisticated comfort as befits such a popular near-to-the-big-city seaside escape. For example, Sunset Harbour B&B provides a self contained garden suite as well as three rooms off a large common area, complete with oversized flat-screen HD-TV, a refreshment centre and view deck.

Dancing Firs B&B is equally upscale with three well equipped, and beautifully appointed studio, one- and two-bedroom suites, each with stunning views of Semiahmoo Bay through tall 'dancing' fir trees. Check out White Rock's own B&B Association for more suggestions.

Ocean Promenade Hotel

Located near the end of the main drag, directly across from East Beach, the exterior of the 71-room, all-suite Ocean Promenade Hotel doesn't reflect its interior. Danny de Vito and Rhea Perlman, as well as Juno star Jennifer Garner, loved the place as much for its spacious, contemporary suites and hardwood floors as for its family-friendly staff and facilities. It doesn't have a restaurant but that's no loss since suites include well-equipped kitchens and several eateries are within a few minutes walk. Every room has a seaside view and rates include an underground parking spot - an invaluable asset, anywhere near the water.

RV Park

A good stop-over for RV travelers is The Seacrest Motel & RV Park. Close to the beaches, parks, golf and restaurants, the RV site features full hookup, washrooms and laundry. Note, there is no campsite in White Rock.
