Telegraph Cove Accommodations

Small and compact, Telegraph Cove has just two resorts, two vacation rental homes and three RV parks and campgrounds.

Telegraph Cove Resort

The Telegraph Cove Resort seizes the eye with its vintage coastal village appearance. Its uniqueness springs from its buildings, a scattered collection of 14 mostly 1940s buildings, many on stilts. They contain a total of 78 rooms which are restored and outfitted with contemporary comforts to varying degrees, ranging from luxe down to "Rustic."

The boardwalk that joins them also encompasses the Killer Whale Café, Old Saltery Pub, the excellent Whale Interpretive Centre, Stubbs Island Whale Watching and Tide Rip Tours for bear-watchers. Views from the resort and boardwalk take in the marina and RV park on the opposite hill.

Dockside 29

The Cove's other principal accommodation is Dockside 29, a complex of 29 compact, modern, over-the-water suites. Satellite TV and paved parking come included.

Vacation Rentals

Atop the hill sits Cottage on the Cove, a prime vacation rental home with wraparound porch, comfy quarters for six people and floor-to-ceiling windows taking in superlative views of the ocean and village. The Drift Inn in the same hilltop development offers three bedrooms, pool table, hot tub, boat slips and similar panoramic views.

RV Parks and Campgrounds

Three RV parks and campgrounds take advantage of their exquisite natural setting. The Telegraph Cove Campground offers 120 RV and tent sites, laundromat, washrooms, showers, firewood and sani-dump in a discreet old-growth forest setting. The conspicuously located Telegraph Cove Marina and RV Park offers 48 sites. Nearby, Alder Bay Resort boasts the perk of marina and ocean views from its RV and tent sites.

Island Resorts

Two all-inclusive fishing resorts are located on islands accessible from Telegraph Cove. The Farewell Harbour Resort on Berry Island has six guest rooms with private baths and wood-burning stoves. Double Bay Resort on Hanson Island has spacious waterfront suites and cabins linked by boardwalk.
