Revelstoke Accommodations
In a city that caters to both highway travellers and a growing number of people who are specifically visiting Revelstoke, there are more than a dozen hotels and motels in and around town, more than a few B&Bs, and a good selection of camping facilities. Luxury condo rentals are also available at the Revelstoke Mountain Resort.
Hotels
The Sandman Inn, just north of the TransCanada Highway, has 171 rooms, some with kitchenettes, two indoor pools and a whirlpool, and an on-site family restaurant.
Downtown, next to Grizzly Plaza, the Regent Inn features 50 rooms, each uniquely decorated with antiques and local artwork. The hotel's "112" Restaurant has a triple-diamond rating by AAA Canada Select.
Bed and Breakfasts
Revelstoke also has more than a dozen bed-and-breakfasts to choose from. One of the best is the Minto Manor B&B, located on MacKenzie Avenue in one of the city's finest heritage buildings. On sunny mornings, breakfast is served on the wrap-around veranda. Another spectacular ornate, Victorian heritage building is operated as the Amble Inn at 1221 First St. W.
Camping
Camping in the Revelstoke area? Choose from national parks, provincial parks and more than a few private campgrounds.
Mount Revelstoke National Park does offer remote wilderness camping, but for vehicle-accessible sites, travel east some 70km/44mi to Illecillewaet (60 sites) or Loop Brook (20 sites) in Glacier National Park. Only a few sites can handle the largest recreational vehicles, and RV hookups are not available.
Blanket Creek Provincial Park, 24km/15mi south of Revelstoke on Highway 23, has 63 vehicle campsites, a swimming lagoon and playground. Martha Creek, the only provincial park on Lake Revelstoke, is located 17km/10.5mi north of town on Highway 23 North. A popular recreation spot for locals, the park offers 25 sites, a sandy beach and a cooking shelter.
The Revelstoke KOA is a huge private campground just 3km/2mi east of town, with almost 200 tent and RV sites, and some great facilities including free WiFi.
Combine RV or tent camping with a soak at either Canyon Hot Springs, 35km/22mi east of Revelstoke, or Halcyon Hot Springs, 68 km/42 mi south on Highway 23.
