Osoyoos Accommodations
Osoyoos offers the range of accommodations expected of a long-standing vacation destination known for its lakeshore and lake view properties. Options range from national chain hotels and luxury resorts to modest motels and B&Bs. Families return to the same motel or resort for generations, while a different style of tourist is drawn to winery guesthouses.
RV enthusiasts, including retired snowbirds looking to escape colder Canadian winters, set up in a variety of parks and campers can pitch a tent in several lakeside campgrounds.
Hotels & Motels
National and regional hotel chains such as Best Western, Coast and Holiday Inn, and numerous motels, cluster along Highway 3. They line the narrow strip of land that nearly cuts Osoyoos Lake in two, providing plenty of waterfront access.
Osoyoos Resorts
Lakefront resorts in Osoyoos include condo style properties such as Watermark Beach Resort in the heart of downtown and Walnut Beach Resort on the east shore of the lake. Destiny Beach Resort offers motel and condo family accommodations on the western shoreline.
Osoyoos Indian Band
Away from the waterfront, Spirit Ridge Vineyard Resort and Spa is a condo complex located on the desert lands of the Osoyoos Indian Band in the Nk'Mip Resort complex, which includes a nine-hole golf course, winery, RV park and campground and the Nk'Mip Desert Cultural Centre.
Winery Guesthouses
Stay at a working winery with views of the vineyards, the aroma of fermenting grapes and no driving after tasting. The Guest House at Burrowing Owl Estate Winery, 11.8km/7.3mi from downtown Osoyoos, is located among the vineyards of the Black Sage Bench. It offers 10 luxury rooms including a two-bedroom executive suite. Across the valley in the Golden Mile area, the Villa at Hester Creek is a single detached suite.
B&Bs
Osoyoos has only a few B&Bs but there are some unique options. Perched high on Anarchist Mountain, overlooking the town and taking full advantage of the clear night skies, the Observatory B&B houses a serious telescope. Accommodation comes complete with a cosmic tour, guided by owner Jack Newton. Other options include the Haynes Point Lakeside Suite Bed & Breakfast with full kitchen facilities and the Desert Oasis, notable for its flower gardens and fruit trees.
RV & Camping
Osoyoos is a popular destination for RVers and campers, with several beachfront parks. In addition, the 41 campsites at Haynes Point Provincial Park are nearly all on the lakeshore. This park is extremely popular and reservations are required in high season.
