North Vancouver Accommodations
North Vancouver offers a wide range of accommodations for all lifestyles and budgets, including hotels, motels, B&Bs, and RV parks. Staying on the North Shore can result in savings of up to 30 or 40 percent compared to downtown Vancouver.
Hotels & Motels
Choose from about 10 hotels on the North Shore, with nightly rates ranging between $60 and $200 (before taxes). Five comfortable brand-name motels are located on lower Capilano Road, not far from attractions like the Capilano Suspension Bridge and the Cleveland Dam.
The Lonsdale Quay Hotel also has a great location next to the SeaBus terminal. Its lobby is on the third floor of the Lonsdale Quay Market, which features some 90 fresh produce and deli vendors, gift shops, and fashion boutiques,. The recently renovated 70-room hotel offers free Internet access, a gym, and a sleek restaurant that looks across Burrard Inlet at the Vancouver skyline.
The nearby Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier (a 2010 opening) caters to business travelers or wedding parties with 105 well-appointed rooms and about 740 sq m/8,000 sq ft of meeting space.
Bed & Breakfasts
The North Shore has more than 15 B&Bs. One standout is ThistleDown House, which has five themed guest rooms with silk-filled duvets, plus lavish multi-course breakfasts and afternoon tea. The garden-ringed property has been mentioned in Michelin's Green Guide.
RV Parks
No RV park is located closer to downtown Vancouver than the Capilano RV Park. It sits between the Lions Gate Bridge and the Park Royal Shopping Centre, and provides 208 RV sites with electrical hookups and picnic tables. Other amenities include showers, Internet access, fuel, laundry, and a swimming pool. Particularly in the summer, reservations are recommended.
