New Denver Accommodations

New Denver has a good selection of unique accommodation options, including inns, villas, bed and breakfasts, cabins, and campground and provincial park camping. Reservations are an absolute must during the busy months of July and August.

Valhalla Inn

On Highway 6, just a block south of its intersection with Highway 31A, the Valhalla Inn offers licensed dining, a pub, and a selection of rooms that includes suites and kitchenettes. The owners also operate an adventure tour program that includes ATVs in summer and snowmobiles in the winter.

Villa Dome Quixote

Remarkable for its innovative architecture, the Villa Dome Quixote consists of a series of connected domes. Accommodations range from modest pie shaped rooms with shared bath to self-contained two-story cottages.

Bed and Breakfast

Just across a quiet street from the lakeshore, Sweet Dreams Guesthouse is conveniently close to downtown New Denver. This unpretentious five room B&B caters to groups and retreats.

Cabins on Bigelow Bay

New in 2009, cabins on Bigelow Bay just north of downtown New Denver cater to couples and families. The entire property is wheelchair accessible.

Silverton Resort

border="0">A collection of log cabins sits on the lakeshore at the south end of Silverton Resort. Perfect for families, each self-contained unit is equipped with a kitchen. The resort also offers canoe rentals.

Camping

New Denver and Silverton both have municipal campgrounds on the lakeshore. Facilities include boat launch ramps, fire pits, and beach access. There are also commercial campgrounds in Winlaw, Lemon Creek, Slocan, and at Summit Lake, near Nakusp.

Rosebery Provincial Park is a five-minute drive north of New Denver on the banks of Wilson Creek. Facilities for campers are minimal, but the location is convenient for exploring the Galena Trail.
