For fans of camping and the great BC outdoors, Mackenzie has numerous provincial parks, BC Forest Service campsites (run by the BC Ministry of Tourism, Sport and the Arts) and private camping/RV opportunities. Tudyah Lake Provincial Park, located just north McLeod Lake on Highway 97 and near Mackenzie, is one example. Open from mid-May to mid-September, it offers 36 car-accessible camping spots, available on a first-come, first-served basis and is just one of several pretty camping spots in the area.
