Lytton Accommodations

Totem Motel - Chris McBeathBetween Lytton and Hope, accommodations are generally small, family-run operations, sometimes in heritage homes that once housed railway company executives. Campsites are numerous with a variety of amenities for RVs, tenters and campers looking for backcountry wilderness.

Hotels, Lodges & B&Bs

For more urban accommodation, check into the cabins at The Old Towne Inn in Boston Bar or the Totem Hotel in Lytton where many units come with kitchens and are able to sleep up to six people.

Canyon Ranchlands in North Bend is the only place in the canyon that offers horseback riding as well as B&B accommodations in a lovingly converted Canadian Pacific Railway house, circa 1900. Tuck into breakfast (and dinner by appointment) in a brightly refurbished restaurant – once the property's hay barn!

Whitewater Rafting Resorts

Since whitewater rafting is such an integral part of the Fraser Canyon experience, each of the rafting outfitters – Reo Rafting Resort, Fraser River Rafting Expeditions, Hyak River Rafting and the Kumsheen Rafting Resort, offer accommodation that includes camping, luxury cabin tents, comfortably furnished teepees and cozy log cabins.

Camping & RV

Canyon Alpine Motel, RV and Tent Ground, 4km/2.5mi north of Boston Bar, has several shady sites - an important point when canyon temperatures start to soar. Blue Lake Resort, l5km/9.3mi north of Boston Bar is worth the upwardly drive whether it is to RV or tent in the scenic grounds, settle in a cabin or stay in the unassumingly comfortable 10-room lodge. Paddle boat and canoe rentals are available which add this resort's family-oriented ambiance.

Stay in a Teepee

Anderson Creek Campground is a First Nations site situated right on the water and is steps away from the Tuckkwiowhum Interpretive Park. The teepees are fun to stay in and when water levels are low, sandbars become excellent beaches for swimming.

Camping in Provincial Parks

Provincial Parks are great camping options. Goldpan Provincial Park has 14 river-view camping sites on a first come, first served basis; Skihist Provincial Park offers 58 large and peaceful sites with spectacular views of the Coast Mountain Range. It also has flush toilets and a sani-station. And Stein Valley Provincial Park has several groomed campsites throughout its wilderness; camp only on these sites and keep in mind that open fires are not permitted at any time.

Wilderness buffs can also head for any number of primitive forestry sites at Scuzzy Creek, Apocynum, Log Creek, Fir Flat, Botanie Lake and along the Nahatlatch River.
