Kimberley Accommodations

Kimberley has a wide range of accommodations, in a variety of locations including "downtown", at the base of the ski resort, in the quiet outskirts or in remote backcountry locations. Options vary from quaint bed & breakfasts, centrally located hotels/motels, on-mountain condos and vacation rentals, quaint inns and RV and camping sites.

A handful of good bed & breakfasts are also located within Kimberley, and for the cost-conscious, the Edge Pub & Hostel offers cheap dorm and private rooms.

Hotels and Resorts

The Kimberley Alpine Resort is only a few minutes' drive from the city Platzl, and in the winter months, a ski shuttle operates between the resort and downtown, providing convenient access to activities. Visitors hoping to stay on the mountain can find a wide range of accommodation from hotel rooms to luxury ski-in, ski-out condos with private outdoor hot tubs. The Trickle Creek Lodge, for example, offers all-suite rooms, pools and fitness room.

Chateau Kimberley is a tastefully decorated and convenient hotel with 20 rooms located just near the Platzl. This heritage building has been renovated, and was once the office for the Cominco Mine.

Camping and Unique Places to Stay

The Kimberley Riverside Campground has 140 spacious private sites, full hook-ups, a wonderful outdoor pool facility, convenience store, group picnic/BBQ & activity area and laundry. Located only 8 minutes from downtown Kimberley, the campground is set along the beautiful St. Mary River and is adjacent to the Kimberley Nature Park.

Looking for something unique and willing to drive about 25 minutes out of town? The B&B at Spirit Trail Lodge is also the home of Charlie and Martina, owners of Spirit Trail Adventures and has room for four adult guests. This secluded spot with a pond, is surrounded by forest and will appeal to horse lovers (the family includes 11 stunning horses and dog Sunny) and those seeking a more spiritual connection with the area, the animals and themselves.

Advance reservations for all accommodations are recommended as the summer and winter months are often popular (especially on long weekends). Off-season provides a perfect, quieter retreat.
