Kaslo Accommodations

For most of the year there is a fairly good selection of accommodation choices in Kaslo. The new Kaslo Hotel features condos plus 11 rooms, the Kootenay Lake Guest House has a mix of private and dormitory rooms, and campgrounds are also an option. As well, there are more than a dozen bed and breakfasts in the surrounding area and an 18-unit motel. Reservations are a must during the Kaslo Jazz Etc. Summer Music Festival (in August).

Kaslo Hotel

The new Kaslo Hotel, which opened in early 2009, has returned to the look and feel of its 1896 Victorian predecessor. Housed in a 1958 masonry building, the hotel has condominiums that sleep up to eight people, 11 rooms with balconies, and a restaurant and pub.

Kootenay Lake Guest House

The Kootenay Lake Guest House is a great choice for travelers on a budget. Accommodation up to 17 people, it features both private and dormitory rooms. The guest house is located at 232B Avenue in Lower Kaslo.

Camping and RVs

The Kaslo Municipal Campground, near the beach and playground, has a total of 18 sites accommodating tents and RVs. Camping is also available at Lost Ledge and Davis Creek Provincial Parks, about 30 minutes north of Kaslo, and at a number of commercial campgrounds in the area. Larger RVs are welcome at the Cedar Bay RV Park, off Highway 31, 10 minutes south of the village.
