Invermere Accommodations

Although Invermere is the commercial centre of the Windermere Valley, hotel options are limited to just two properties, with several more in the surrounding area. Adjacent to downtown, the Best Western Invermere Inn is within easy walking distance of beaches and shopping. The Super 8 Motel Invermere is located by the highway, just north of town.

Condos, Lodges, Hotels and B&Bs

Condominium and vacation home rentals are available in Invermere and throughout the Windermere Valley. Reservations are handled through local agencies. There are also a few bed and breakfasts in the valley.

Radium Hot Springs, just 13km/8mi north on Highway 93/95, is home to approximately 20 hotel and motel properties, and almost all of them are independent operations. The only hotel chain represented in the village is the Prestige Radium Hot Springs, located next to the main highway intersection. The Chalet Europe has a commanding location high above the village, with sweeping views of the entire valley. The hotel offers just 17 suites, with fireplaces in every room.

Panorama and Fairmont

Panorama Mountain Village, 18km/11mi west of town, offers everything from budget lodge accommodation to high-end condominiums. The resort has a spectrum of activities that starts with golf and skiing, and keeps on going with mountain biking, hiking and whitewater rafting.

The Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, 20 minutes south of town, is a full service facility offering a menu of on-site activities that includes skiing, tennis, golf, horseback riding and, of course, the chance to soak in Canada's largest mineral hot springs pool.

Camping

Camping facilities are becoming scarce in the valley, as long-time owners sell their properties for either timeshares or condominium development. Three commercial RV parks operate in the Fairmont Hot Springs area and one in Radium Hot Springs.

Non-commercial camping options include Dry Gulch Provincial Park and the Redstreak Campground in Kootenay National Park at Radium Hot Springs.
