Harrison Hot Springs Accommodations
As small as Harrison Hot Springs is, it offers a diversity of accommodations that include romantic B&Bs, family-styled resorts, comfortable motels and quality camping.
Hotels in Harrison Hot Springs
Harrison Hot Springs Resort & Spa is the community's primary hotel. With 337 guest rooms, it has an informal appeal that sees families return from one generation to the next as well as a finesse that has welcomed famous guests including Clark Gable and the King and Queen of Siam.
The private mineral pools and Healing Springs Spa are among the resort's top draws, as is the legendary Copper Room Dining Room which has likely witnessed more wedding proposals than most. Concierge services can plan any number of activities from tennis and golf to water sports from the hotel's docks. The 88-room Executive Hotel Harrison Hot Springs has a light, fresh ambiance to its décor while the Harrison Beach Hotel, also on the lakeside promenade, offers a number of kitchen units for those who prefer cook-for-yourself options. Both hotels have a full-service spa.
Bed & Breakfasts
There a number of small B&Bs such as South Garden B&B, Blackberry Lane B&B and Harrison Heritage House & Cottages, one of the oldest homes in Harrison Hot Springs. The house is beautifully refurbished as are the four character cottages. Rowena's Inn on the River is a lavish up-do of a heritage family home, complete with its own swimming pool, landscaped lawns, golf course, heli pad and docking facilities on the river. Rooms even include a dining table once graced by the Prince of Wales and an ornately carved bed commissioned by opera diva Dame Nellie Melba.
Camping & RV Parks
Several private RV sites are within walking distance of the downtown promenade, and Sasquatch Provincial Park, 6km/3.7mi north of the village, provides 177 vehicle-accessible campsites in a woodsy setting near the water. There are no showers, but it does have a playground, canoe and kayak rentals, hiking trails and family programs in the summer.
More remote sites are scattered around the shores of the lake – accessible only by boat or water taxi, as well as four forestry sites that are marked on the BC Back Roads map. These include Rainbow Falls, Cascade Peninsula, Bear Creek, Cogburn Beach Twenty Mile Bay, Hale Creek and Long Island. Because of its close proximity to Kilby Historic Site, Kilby Park is a good choice for families. Open year round, it has 22-sites on the waterfront and operates on a first come, first served basis.
