Creston Accommodations

Creston offers a fairly limited but good selection of accommodation options, including motels, bed and breakfasts, a nearby resort, and camping facilities. In Creston, the busy season is June through September.

Bed and Breakfasts

Wedgwood Manor is one of a number of elegant houses in the Kootenay Lake area originally built in the early 20th century. Constructed in 1910, the building is steeped in colonial charm. Wedgewood Manor is located one hour north of Creston, just south of Crawford Bay.

An award-winning Bed and Breakfast within walking distance of downtown Creston is Cranberry Manor, which also celebrates its centennial in 2010. This classy late-Victorian building offers great views across the valley.

Destiny Bay Resort

Featuring a stunning lakeshore setting, Destiny Bay Resort offers comfortable lodgings, with breakfast and dinner served on the porch. Choose a room in the main building, or reserve a cottage with a sod roof maintained by a grazing goat. Destiny Bay is in Boswell, 40 minutes north of Creston.

Camping and RVs

Commercial campgrounds include Scotties RV Park and Campground, a few blocks south of downtown on Erickson Road, and the Pair-a-Dice RV Park and Campground, a few minutes north of Downtown off the commercial strip. Other attractive camping options can be found at Yahk Provincial Park and Lockhart Beach Provincial Park.
