Hotels and Motels

The modern, all-suites Best Western Chemainus Festival Inn is on the eastern perimeter of town within easy walking distance of shops, dining, and the theatre. The inn specializes in package deals that incorporate theatre, golf, diving, and/or wine tours. Mid-priced and economy lodgings are available in town at the Fuller Lake Motel and the Horseshoe Inn.

Bed and Breakfasts

Many of the 25+ B&Bs in the region are members of the Chemainus Bed and Breakfast Association. Its annual guide is available at the Visitor Centre.

A number of fine B&Bs are located on quiet residential streets. Oceanfront Kin Beach Park is within a block or two of such Old Town properties as Bird Song Cottage (a 1902 heritage home), A Scented Garden B&B (with its lovely garden and third-floor ocean-view tower), and Castlebury (an architectural folly whimsically fashioned after a medieval French castle).

Campgrounds

Tent sites, R/V spaces, and a handful of log cabins face the ocean at Osborne Bay Resort near the Crofton ferry terminal The Chemainus River Campground is a 9.3ha/23ac riverside refuge not far from town. Bald Eagle Riverside Campground caters to family groups, as does the Country Maples RV Resort. Four dozen drive-in campsites are available at Stoltz Pool, a popular swimming/tubing spot at Cowichan River Provincial Park.
