Painter's Lodge
Founded in 1929, Painter's Lodge (five minutes north of town) is one of the most upscale spots in the region with its mix of hotel suites, oceanfront cabins, and full-service packages for fishing enthusiasts. Drop in for a drink in the Tyee Pub (the bar is lined with salmon skin) and check out the fascinating memorabilia in the gallery above the lobby. Open May to mid-October.
Roderick Haig Brown B&B
True-blue anglers revere the plainspoken writings of Canadian author/naturalist Roderick Haig Brown.
