Welcome to our Farmers' Market in the heart of the beautiful Cowichan Valley. The Valley the late James Barber aptly named "Canada's Provence". We can be found on Ingram Street and the Market Square in Downtown Duncan (look for the clock tower at City Hall).

We invite you to come and spend your Saturdays at one of the largest farmers' markets in BC. With our "you make it, you bake it, you grow it, you sell it" philosophy, you will find a wide variety of local products to fulfill your "100 mile diet" needs.

Dads and grand-dads will enjoy the annual vintage truck and tractor show. The day includes a vintage tractor parade, slow tractor race, and train rides!

This grass court tennis tournament is staged at the 126 year old South Cowichan Lawn Tennis Club.

Play starts on June 28 and finishes on July 1.

In the event of rain, indoor hard courts may be used.

Lawn tennis has been played at the club since 1887. It is one of the oldest lawn tennis clubs in the world and the oldest club in Canada still playing on grass.

This tournament is sanctioned by Tennis BC and is on the Tennis BC Senior Circuit.

Celebrate Canada Day with reduced admission to the museum. Cost is $2.00 per person, children 4 yrs and under are free. This event features, live music, a flag ceremony, face painting, a bouncy castle, BBQ, birthday cake, and much more. A fun day for the whole family!

This Annual Island Folk Festival, once again to be held on the beautiful grounds at Providence Farm in Duncan on July 19-21, 2013. The festival opens at 5:00 pm on Friday & closes on Sunday at 5:00 pm. The Cowichan Folk Guild will be presenting 3 days of culturally diverse music from some of the top artists from around the World. Over 50 talented acts & 150 musical participants will be featured.

Chemainus Bluegrass Extravaganza & Festival is a one day event held in downtown Chemainus. Some of the bands featured are Highrise Lonesome, 5 on A String, Drifters, The Hub City Ramblers, Bluegrass Fever, The Maple Mountain Boys and more! Saturday admission prices at a 'suggested $15 ($10 on Sunday). Rain or shine, bring your folding chairs to Wheelhouse Park for a wonderful music event.

Join us for lively musical entertainment as we celebrate BC Day with a fun day for the kids! Jump aboard with unlimited train rides, bouncy castle, games, and a concession! This annual event is a family favourite and brings out the inner child in everyone!

The museum opens at 10 am and closes at 4:30 pm. The train runs from 11:00 am - 4 pm, on the half hour. Regular admission rates apply and this event is included in BCFDC memberships.

Don't miss the old-fashioned Cobble Hill Fair. This real country fair & exhibition has delighted visitors with agricultural displays, livestock & great family entertainment since 1909. Events include: pancake breakfast, parade, blacksmith demos, sheepdog trials, livestock shows, hall exhibits, horse show, 4-H shows, kids games, trade show, all-day entertainment, vintage machineries, 4-H livestock auction & much more.
