Fountain Valley Loop

Head east from Lillooet along Highway 99. Just 10 minutes outside of Lillooet are the First Nations fishing rocks. Local First Nations people have been using this area for thousands of years to harvest and dry the abundant wild salmon. Tours are offered.

Drive south at Fountain Village. The view includes meadows and forests, with good camping, swimming and fishing spots available at Fountain Lake. Turn right onto Highway 12; the narrow road near here is carved out of a cliffside as a result of the “Big Slide.” Return to Lillooet via Highway 12.
