Hopcott Premium Meats (18385 Old Dewdney Trunk Rd) specializes in farm-fresh, hormone-free beef. The shop is constructed from old-growth fir timbers and offers a scrumptious range of in-house made deli meats such as, beef jerky, sausage, chicken, pork, and more. Pick up locally grown vegetables here as well.

From July to October, get lost among huge stalks of corn at the Meadows Maze (13672 Reichenbach Rd) – each year has a different theme. There's also a petting zoo, a bee observatory, a barrel train, hay-wagon rides and pony rides. Check ahead for hours and rates of admission.

The Blue Heron Fruit Winery (18539 Old Dewdney Trunk Rd) is the only winery in Pitt Meadows, and this family-run business features a palate-pleasing selection of blueberry wine, cranberry wine, strawberry wine, and blackberry wine. Stop in for a tasting.

Amsterdam Greenhouses and Garden Centre (19100 Old Dewdney Trunk Rd) has more than 30 years of experience selling hanging baskets, bedding plants, ornamental trees, perennials, and other gardening items.

Sweet tooth? At Honeyland Canada (17617 Ford Rd), learn about how bees contribute to the environment while tasting blueberry honey, ice honey, honey jelly, pollen, and other tongue-tantalizing products. And there are beekeeping courses and stunning "bee beard" demonstrations for the hardcore aficionados.

Stop for lunch at Big Feast Bistro & Catering (11920 227th St) – the menu reflects local ingredients and changes seasonally – before strolling through fragrant lavender at the Octagon Lavender Farm & Studio (10268 266 St).
