Bear Mountain Ski Hill is a 10-minute drive from Dawson Creek.
It was first developed in the early 1960s, and has since moved from its original location on the hill to a new site with better runs. Supported by the community and locally operated, the "hill" offers great opportunities for skiing and snowboarding in Dawson Creek.
Ski Runs and Amenities
Bear Mountain features eleven beginner and intermediate runs, which are accessed by one T-bar, with a vertical drop of 108m/360ft from the top to the bottom. The runs are especially suited to skiers and snowboarders warming up for the season, beginners and families. Bear Mountain has excellent snow conditions in most winter months. There is a pub on-site to warm up and have a quick snack or a beverage, and parents can watch their kids spend time on the hill.
