A day for kids of all ages at the Creston Museum! Try your hand at old-fashioned chores and games (everything from hopscotch to marbles), dress up in our costume collection, take a lesson in the schoolhouse, shop in the candy store with old-fashioned prices, and enjoy the ice cream and lemonade. Kids 12 and under, please remember to bring an adult with you.

Rise and Shine to the chorus of songbirds in the wetland. Join in on a leisurely morning of spectacular birdwatching lead by a Wildlife Area Naturalist. Meet at Wildlife Interpretation Centre. Breakfast served on the deck afterwards.

Many artists skilled in a wide variety of disciplines have chosen to settle in the Creston Vally. The Annual Creston Valley and Eastshore Art Walk/Drive begins June 28th through the September Labour Day long weekend. Galleries & studios are open to the public from Riondel to Crawford Bay through Creston to Yahk, & offer everything from blown and stained glass, pottery, ceramics, beadwork, fabric art, candle making and ironwork to straw brooms. Pick up a brochure at the Creston Visitor InfoCentre or the Kootenay Lake Chamber of Commerce to discover where to find the amazing talent that flourishes in the Creston Valley.

The perennial favourite! Tea or lemonade, dainty sandwiches and sweets served on the Museum's shaded patio. Special guests from Creston's past will be dropping by to visit. Three seatings at 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00 pm - Reservations are highly recommended. $8 per person.

This 95th annual 2-day festival includes many exciting events such as judged exhibits of livestock, farm & garden produce, baking, preserves, arts, crafts & youth exhibits. There is also a scarecrow contest, largest pumpkin contest, entertainment & food booths.

For one day only each year, the Creston Museum gets covered in quilts! Antique quilts, modern quilts, and everything in between, all on display in the Museum's exhibit galleries. Some of the quilts are from the Museum's collection; many are on loan from local quilters. Some of them are even for sale. The display is different every year, and every year we have at least 100 quilts and quilted items on display. The Quilts for Kids quilters are on site and working, with refreshments and quilt blocks for sale.
