Fort Steele offers fun for the whole family - take a journey back through the pioneering history of the area. Fort Steele is a living museum. The completely reconstructed frontier town is populated by townspeople in period costume & features a blacksmith's shop, school, the Northwest Mounted Police barracks & live drama at the Wild Horse Theatre. You will love the horse drawn wagon rides & panning for gold.

Peak season commences July 1 for Fort Steele and they're planning a big kick-off party. Celebrations begin with the Kimberley Community Band. There will be birthday cake, family games, wagon & steam train rides, heritage trades, living history street dramas and the first public performance of this year's live theatre show 'Gabardine & Galoshes' at the Wild Horse Theatre round out the afternoon.

Saturday Night on the Town presents dinner at the International Hotel Restaurant at 3:30 or 6:30 pm, a live theatre show at the Wildhorse Theatre and sunset train ride. Dessert is served at the railway viewing platform and a cash bar is available. Tickets are available for the entire evening or just the show and train ride. Seating is limited, so please book ahead. Takes place on July 6, 20 and August 10, 17 & 31.

We are very excited about this year's car show. Brothers Insurance Agency has stepped forward to be our sponsor & we are kicking things up a notch. This year we have invited the Blues Brothers Too! tribute act & they will keep us entertained all throughout the day on Saturday. We are also including trucks & motorcycles to this year's event - all makes & models of cars are also welcome. We will have a drive-in movie night on Friday (movie title TBA) as well as our annual "Junk In Your Trunk" Swap Meet.

Farming Days will showcase old-fashioned farming techniques. There will be a variety of farming demonstrations using horse drawn farm implements (equipment normally on display will be used in demonstrations). Demos include hay baling and harvesting. Other demos tba as they depend on weather conditions.
