Farming Days will showcase old-fashioned farming techniques. There will be a variety of farming demonstrations using horse drawn farm implements (equipment normally on display will be used in demonstrations). Demos include hay baling and harvesting. Other demos tba as they depend on weather conditions.

Cranbrook Pro Rodeo has been a stop on the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association roster for over 25 years. This will be as exciting as always with 3 performances of action featuring top cowboys & cowgirls from all over North America!

A Gran Fondo (bike ride) bicycle event is a mass participation event which challenges riders to a long distance. This particular event will offer 50 km, 100 km and 150 km distances, all beginning at the St Eugene Resort. The route will take cyclists from the Resort through back-roads to the Rails to Trails, then north to Kimberley, 100 and 150 km riders will continue north to Wasa and then on to Fort Steele, 100 km riders will head to St Eugene, 150 km riders will take a loop along the Bull River before returning.

The Kootenay Country Fair is a full day at Fort Steele Heritage Town including contests, an auction and many exhibits such as baked goods, produce & cut flowers, preserves & needlework. There will be a best scarecrow contest as well as a best decorated bike contest. Fort Steele's regular displays & shops will all be open & the Steam Train will be running from 10:00 am-4:00 pm. It will be a very fun day from 8:30 am in the morning until 4:30 pm.

A mountain biking festival for all ages and abilities. Takes place in the Cranbrook Community Forest and presented by Favorite Cycles and Rocky Mountain Events.

29th annual and one of Canada's best halloween events. Fun begins at 6:00 pm and wraps up with Fort Steele's renowned fireworks display at 9:00 pm. Activities include a Monster Show in the Wild Horse Theatre, haunted house tours, trick or treating and traditional Halloween games. Tickets will be on sale in October; Friends of Fort Steele Society members have the opportunity to purchase tickets in advance with their membership renewal.

Haunted houses, bonfires, fireworks, trick-or-treating, zombie fashion show, pumpkin carving contests, kid's theatre show and much more! Dress up and dress warm. This fun filled evening begins at 3:00 pm.
