The 9-hole, year-round Mulligan's Golf Course is just minutes from town. The Sunnydale Golf & Country Club is just 8km/5mi north of Courtenay, and has been for more than 80 years. The 18-hole course offers plenty of challenges including sand bunkers and water hazards.

The 18-hole, Par 72 course boasts an outstanding driving range with chipping and putting greens and practice bunkers. Stunning views of the Beaufort mountains, 11 lakes and eye-filling fairways complete a vision of Vancouver Island golf at its most sumptuous.
Luxury Golf Facilities
The clubhouse is as impressive. A sweeping, curving staircase and fireplace glamorize the lobby. The Cigar & Cognac Room invites 21st century aristocrats. The nearby Classic Car Museum showcases 1950s and 1960s Chevrolets and Fords, once owned by celebrities including Sylvester Stallone. Plus snack bar, pro shop, poker room and an indoor waterfall.
The club's two restaurants go beyond usual golf course grub. The airy Silverado Steak House transcends bricks of Alberta beef with such regional fare as local Miyagi oysters, seared halibut cheeks and buffalo strip loin. The casual Timber Room turns out playful global fare including Southeast Asian seafood laksa and Taj Mahal Burger upgraded with Indian spices.
The resort's accommodations are luxe Fairway rooms and still more luxe villas, some with Jacuzzi tubs and gas fireplaces.
