Join the Courtenay Museum as they take you on a guided fossil tour along the banks of the Puntledge River. Our friendly guide will begin at the Courtenay & District Museum & Palaeontology Centre with a short lecture & video, followed by visit to the exhibit gallery & concluding with a hands-on trip to the actual fossil sites. On the 3rd weekend of June the town of Comox hosts a 2-day event that brings people from near and far to meet farmers, sample a delectable array of food from the sea, learn the tips of the pros during our day-long cooking demos, listen to some local live music and enjoy the view of the Comox Glacier.

The purpose of Miner's Memorial Weekend is to: renew the commitment to strive for safe & healthy workplaces for all workers, commemorate the miners who worked & lost their lives in the mines of Cumberland & other workplaces throughout BC, commemorate the life & contribution of Ginger Goodwin, union organizer & labour martyr.
