Car Travel
The town is 114km/71mi northwest of Nanaimo and 224km/139mi northwest of Victoria. Comox town centre is approximately 12km/7.5mi off Highway 19, exit 117. Highway 19A or the Oceanside Route is the slower but more scenic approach recommended for leisurely drivers. Access it southeast of Parksville at exit 46 off Highway 19. Budget and National rental cars operate kiosks out of Comox Valley Airport.

BC Ferries operate one of the most sophisticated ferryboat systems in the world, serving almost 50 ports along the rugged BC coastline. Ferries operates several times daily between Comox and Powell River on the mainland.

Air Travel
The Comox Valley Regional Airport (YQQ) is a comfortable, efficient airport operating year round and served by three major airlines. There are daily flights between Vancouver and Comox and direct flights from Calgary. Other air transport services in the area are provided by the Courtenay Airpark, which has a 548.6m/1800ft runway designed for light aircraft and facilities for floatplanes. Local bus and private shuttle services service Comox Valley Airport. Harbour to harbour floatplane flights are also available between Vancouver and Comox.
Bus Travel and Public Transportation
Daily coach lines connect all points of Vancouver Island with the Mainland. Greyhound Coach Lines make several runs daily between Nanaimo/Victoria and Courtenay, Comox’s sister community. The local Comox Valley Transit System provides bus service for the town of Comox and the Comox Valley. IslandLink Bus Service offers express bus passenger service between Comox and BC Ferries at Nanaimo Departure Bay.
Boat Travel
People travelling by boat can take advantage of a full range of facilities including moorage, showers, restaurants and shops adjacent to the Comox Marina.
