Clinton Fishing
Fishing, Tourism BC/JF Bergeron photo
Fishing is excellent at any one of more than a dozen trout-stocked lakes in the Clinton area. Ice-fish for 1.8kg/4lbs Brook trout at Beaverdam Lake, bask in the warm sun and cast a line in the shallow waters of Little Big Bear Lake and Green Lake, or make a day and night of it fishing and camping at Kelly Lake, Downing Provincial Park. In the spring of 2009, Clinton's fish restocking plans included 14,000 yearlings for Big Bar Lake, 10,000 fingerlings for Leighwood Lake, 4,000 yearlings for Watch Lake, and 3,000 yearlings for Kelly Lake.
Beaverdam Lake
Cast a line for rainbow and brook trout at Beaverdam Lake. At 146ha/361ac, Beaverdam is year-round shallow-lake fishing hotspot. During the spring and fall months there is good rainbow and brook trout fishing, but it is winter ice fishing for Brookies up to 1.8kg/4lb that is truly outstanding. Beaverdam Lake is located approximately 16km/10mi north of Clinton just off Highway 97 towards Big Bar Lake.

Green Lake
Approximately 20mi/32km from Clinton, Green Lake is an outstanding family lake, which receives its name from its unique water colour.
