Chilliwack is home to some of British Columbia's best river rafting.

This wild, wet sport attracts everyone from young families to seasoned whitewater adventurers. The natural setting within the Cascade Mountains is particularly spectacular.

Where to Go Rafting

Several licensed local companies offer river rafting trips in the Vancouver, Coast & Mountains region, and two river rafting companies have trips on the Chilliwack River: Chilliwack River Rafting Adventures (year-round) and Hyak River Rafting (May through July).

The Chilliwack River is located on the south side of the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1). Inflatable paddle rafts are the vessels of choice. Most rafting tours are day trips that range from moderately challenging tours that can cover 14km/8.7mi and take up to five hours, to tours that offer continuous whitewater intensity with Class III and Class IV (advanced) rapids.
