Chilliwack's golf scene is continuing to expand, and most courses are located within a 30-minute drive from the city.
Golfers will find several good courses at affordable prices, including The Falls Golf Resort and the Chilliwack Golf and Country Club.
Falls Golf Resort
The Falls Golf Resort (8341 Nixon Rd) has been highlighted in US magazine Golf Digest's Places to Play and the Canadian National Post newspaper's Golf Preview magazine.
Noted for its sweeping fairways, the 18-hole course in the foothills of Mount Cheam features 800 feet of elevation change, an average of five tee boxes for each hole, and yardage between 4,923 and 6,803 yards, depending on the skill level of the player. Chilliwack Golf and Country Club
The Chilliwack Golf and Country Club (41894 Yale Rd Wst) celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2008, and has hosted many provincial championships. BC's Pacific Golf Magazine ranked it as the top public course in BC in 2004 and 2005. The views of the Cascade Mountains are impressive from this 18-hole, par 71 course, which is strewn with creeks and gardens. The club offers online tee time reservations and a pro shop with lots of the latest golf equipment.
Other forms of golf, including driving ranges, putting greens, and mini-golf, can be found at local provincial parks such as Cultus Lake Provincial Park and Bridal Veil Falls Provincial Park.
