Long, dry summers are ideal for golf in Chase.
It's no trick to get to the links with a 9-hole executive course right in the centre of the village and an 18-hole championship course 10 minutes down the highway.
Sunshore Golf Club
Community spirit is alive and well at Sunshore Golf Club, which is owned and operated by a society of local residents. Tee up for an easy, flat stroll on this 1899-yard, par 32 course. Straight drives and accurate green shots are the key to a good total score coming off the lake-view ninth hole. The friendly, casual clubhouse hosts a snack bar and small pro shop offering club and cart rentals. Variable fees start at $10.

Talking Rock Golf Course
Stay and play on the shores of Little Shuswap Lake. Talking Rock Golf Course opened in 2007 as the latest addition to the Shuswap region's golf line-up. Developed and operated by the Little Shuswap Indian Band as part of the Talking Rock Resort and Quaaout Lodge, the course reflects First Nations traditions with respect for the rolling and forested landscape and elements of Aboriginal art at every tee box.
Canadian architects Graham Cooke and Wayne Carlton designed the 7129-yard, par 72 course to be challenging but accessible and wrapped it up with a concentration-robbing 18th hole that parallels the lakeshore. Well-spaced fairways are so thoroughly screened by stands of pine and fir that it feels like solo golfing in the forest.
Amenities include a practice facility, 16-acre double-ended driving range, on-course food and beverage, lake view restaurant and lounge, and pro shop with carts and club rentals available. Talking Rock is boat accessible. Rates vary seasonally.
