Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Skiing & Snowboarding
Skis, Tourism BC/Don Weixl photo
There are two downhill skiing and snowboarding areas in the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast region. Rip through powder, carve big turns and hit some air at Mount Timothy Ski Area (100 Mile House) or Troll Ski Resort (Wells). Both ski hills are local and out of the mainstream, meaning no crowds or line-ups – just light, dry powder and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Glide down long rolling cruisers, challenge black diamond runs, or check out boxes, rails and jumps in the terrain parks.
Mount Timothy Ski Area
Mount Timothy Ski Area, located north of 100 Mile House, offers 33 runs and a vertical drop of 300m/984ft. End a day of skiing with a meal or drink in the log day lodge.
Troll Ski Resort
Located just 30 minutes east of Quesnel, Troll Ski Resort offers a vertical drop of 518m/1,700ft. The hill has been family-run since it opened in 1972, and features a rustic day lodge with a huge fireplace.
For those craving more vertical, heli-skiing operations throughout the region drop adventurous skiers and boarders atop majestic peaks for unbeatable rides down.
