Every year during the July 1st long weekend, BC's Lake City rolls out the welcome mat for people to enjoy several days of action-packed rodeo excitement and a weekend filled with adrenalin.

Come out and see some of the best cowboys perform. Events include bull riding, ladies barrel racing, bareback and saddle bronco riding, steer wrestling and tie down roping.

These events and many more all come together to create a great family fun-filled rodeo and community-wide event - the world famous 87th annual Williams Lake Stampede in British Columbia's cowboy country - the Cariboo!

The Bella Coola Rodeo, one of the largest amateur rodeos in Western Canada, takes place on the Canada Day weekend. A rodeo in this small community is a wild event, as cowhands show their skills kicking off with a gymkhana, and competing in bronco riding, barrel racing, calf tie-down, team roping, bull riding and the infamous cow patty bingo. A broad range of food and refreshments are offered, including the famous "Rodeo Burger." The weekend winds up with the popular Bullarama, where contestants have an opportunity to bid on their own cowboy and win a share of the substantial purse.
