Enjoy a day of family oriented activities ranging from a Farmer's Market, Quesnel Bagpipe Band, Highland Dancers, horse-drawn wagon rides, arts and crafts, and heritage games. Music will be provided by Eddie DeSouza. Enjoy a barbequed hamburger or hotdog served with vegetables & dip, ice cream cone and beverage. Admission to the site is half price ($4.50) for families.

In May, after ice off, the Annual Canoe Races starts at the mouth of the Dean River at Nimpo Lake and ends at Anahim Lake. The route is hazardous and few of the racers make it to the other end unscathed. Anyone can participate and there is a dinner and dance to celebrate the racers. There is an entry fee and cash prizes. Dates depend on when the ice melts off the two lakes. Contact Cam Moxon for dates. Start is Nimpo Lake, finish is at the Anahim Lake Stampede Grounds.

If you're new to riding or want to refresh your riding skills, the riding clinic's will show you the do's and dont's of trail riding. Learn safety, proper riding gear, how to handle natures riding challenges, and the Riders Code of Ethics.

The Dirty Knobby Poker Ride has four levels from Pee-wee to Masters. So, no matter what your skill level is, you can join this event. Grab your buddy, and head to these hills, you won't be disappointed.
