Burns Lake has a wide range of accommodation – some right in town and many on nearby lakes.
Several motels flank Highway 16 throughout downtown and a few bed and breakfasts are spread out through the town's residential neighbourhoods.
Most visitors to Burns Lake stay at wilderness lodges on the south side, or near one of the many lakes in the area, such as Francois Lake, one of the province's largest natural freshwater lakes. These lodges range from upscale to rustic; some have tent and RV space, small cabins, and even houses for rent.
Some wilderness lodges are less than an hour's drive from town, while others are farther or fly-in only. Various resorts may also specialize in certain activities such as fishing, boating, and horseback riding. Some are open only in the summer while others are open year-round.
Camping & RVs
The municipal campground, centrally located just a couple minutes drive from downtown, has seven free tenting sites on Burns Lake. A couple of private tent and RV campgrounds are available a little farther away from town. Travellers who want more of a woodsy experience can also find more remote campgrounds throughout the area.
