The company's performance team will be joined by competitive ballroom dance students in a selection of classic dances including the Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba and Jive. A multimedia, poly-sensorial experience, Montréal's in-demand contemporary dance company Par B.L.eux presents Snakeskins as part of the Vancouver International Dance Festival, at 8:00 pm at the Roundhouse Performance Centre. Regarded for his bold and innovative creations, award-winning choreographer Benoît Lachambre will be joined on stage by dancer Daniele Albanese and musician Hahn Rowe in a provocative meditation on new growth through the shedding of old skin.

An internationally lauded ensemble of "explosive virtuosity" (Boston Globe), the JACK Quartet wowed Vancouver audiences at the 2011 Vancouver New Music Festival with their performances of Iannis Xenakis' string quartets. They return to Vancouver with a phenomenal program featuring a new work by emerging Canadian composer Taylor Brook (El jardin de senderos que se bifurcan), alongside pieces by Georg Friedrich Haas (String Quartet no. 8), and Horatiu Radulescu (String Quartet no. 5 "before the universe was born").

Single tickets $35 regular, $15 students (includes taxes and venue surcharges).
